This workshop will emphasize learning the basics in broomstick lace crocheting and is open to anyone with knowledge and experience in crochet. Broomstick crocheting uses the same stitches as regular crochet but utilizes a large crochet hook to make larger, lacy-looking crochet stitches. This technique originated in the 19th century when homemakers used broom handles to make beautiful lacy shawls and scarves.
During the course of this four-hour workshop, each student will be beginning a scarf, using the learned technique, which they will complete at home. Please pre-register ASAP if you wish to attend.to allow for proper set-up spacing and materials. Attendees may pay at the door upon arrival to the workshop.
