The Harlin Museum of West Plains, MO is set to host its Annual Spring Art Show and is calling for art submissions from artists from all corners of the Ozarks region. This non-juried competition show is open to all ages, types, and caliber of artists.

Entry dates for the show’s competition will be Friday, March 31st, and Saturday, April 1st from 12 pm – 4 pm on the lower level of the Harlin Museum’s Hathcock Gallery (rear entry, basement level); entrants will need to complete a short entry form, pay the flat entry fee ($15 for adults; $5 for youth) and bring their art to the museum on one of the entry dates to be considered for judging. The show’s entries will be on display in the museum’s Hathcock Gallery, from April 7th – to April 30th, 2023. Ribbons will be awarded for multiple divisions and categories.

Final categories for the competition will be determined by the entries received; artists can enter any type of art, including, Paintings (oil, watercolor, gouache, acrylics, ink and wash, tempera, or encaustic paints), Drawings (charcoal, chalk, crayon, pastel, pencil, or pen & ink), Printmaking pieces (woodcuts, linocuts, stencils, block print, scratch art, engraving, etching, and lithography, or screen-printing, foil imaging, or giclee prints), Sculpture ( bronze, stone, marble, wood, clay, metal or 3D print), or Mixed Media, as well as Digital Art (Still or Animated).  Entrants will be given the choice between Adult Expert or Adult Novice Divisions, with a Youth Division for artists 17 years of age or younger. All entries will be evaluated and scored on their assessments in design/composition, technique/skill of construction, presentation, and creativity/originality by three individually-qualified art knowledgable judges.
